Job Description for MSPe developer
Key Responsibilities:
Support & Functional Consulting
Understanding and development of new features & functionality - customized forms, macros, and views per the requirements
Custom reports - SSRS, Dundas, reports Based on OLAP Cubes
MOSS / SharePoint development
Project Web Access customization. Configuring enterprise custom outline codes, enterprise custom fields, users, roles, groups
Provide consulting on application development, environment and configuration and related standards, processes and procedures.
Perform comprehensive testing of MS Project Server 2007 and the related software upgrades – Service Packs and Hotfixes
Troubleshoot EPM software system failures, develop strategies for resolving them and prevent future occurrences.
Diagnose and resolve installation and configuration issues, connectivity and authentication issues.
Develop best practices for the delivery and support of Project Server 2007
Key Deliverables:
Understand Project Manager requirements and develop views and reports.
Should be strong in PL/SQL and be able to develop reports and write queries for complex reports.
Hands on experience in MS Project Server 2007 to develop Project plans, start a new project, view project information, schedule tasks, setup resources in plan, assign resources to tasks, plan resource and task cost, check and adjust the plan, track progress , project baselining, responding to changes in the project etc.
Project Analysis like reporting project Information, Analyzing the project information
Manage multiple Projects like Master Projects, Exchanging the information between plans like tasks linking , copying & moving information
Configure the Project server - security, views etc.
Possess good coordination skills.
Data analysis with Excel
Requirement:
Degree or equivalent (B.Sc/B.E/B.Tech or any equivalent)
Experience in installing, configuring and supporting Microsoft EPM Solution including Project Server.
Significant experience in delivering, administering and supporting Microsoft Project Server 2007
Ability to set up test environments for MS Project Server 2007.
Ability to administer and support Windows SharePoint Services 3.0
Experience in at least one of SQL Server 2000/2005, t-SQL scripts and SQL Server Analysis Services.
Experience in developing Microsoft SSRS Business Intelligence Reports
5+ years IT experience
2+ years experience with MS Project 2007 client and MS Project Server 2007
2+ years experience in PL/SQL
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Technical Skills:
Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition, IIS 6.0 web server
MS SQL Server 2005 database, MS Project Server 2003/2007
Windows SharePoint Services 3.0/2.0, Project Web Access
MS Project Professional 2007/2003, Office 2007/2003
VB.NET for macros in Project 2003/2007
