A person who is strong in his belief would not be withered by others. In my case, while standing jn a bus stop in Singapore, a student approached me. He asked, am I a christian. I said No. The next question he asked me was "Do you believe in Jesus?" . Having gone through these sermons several times, I asked him whether he was a christian. He said yes. I asked him the second question , "DO you believe in Jesus?". He looked puzzled. My answer to him was, as a non christian it is immaterial if I believe in Jesus or not. But he being a christian should believe in Jesus. The conversation ended there.

A person who is blindly believing in his religion fails as well. Two episodes in the life of Adi Shankara highlights this. One when in Kasi, he asks a undertaker to not show his feet to the god,to which the undertaker asks him where is a direction that has no god so that he can stretch his leg towards that direction. The second time when he debates the debate turns to married life. The lady of the house questions AdiShankara what experience he has to debate on that subject.
