In my school days i was taught that India is a secular country.
Today secular in India is a different meaning.
I had a recent forwarded mail by an elder Delhi friend. It says
India is famous for saints like Adi sankarara, Vivekananda, Sai baba Shiridi etc. But no Indian Governments has so far released a single rupee note or a 10 paise coin in their name. Not even in Hindu Gods. But present UPA government released 5 rupees coin depicting Saint Alphonsa birth centenary in 2009.
Where are we going?
Even thinking about power by the native minorities in the neigbouring island country is a crime.
Even building a small temple in our north western neighbouring muslim country is not allowed. Minority sikhs are always torchered there by the majority muslims. A chiristian cricket player was debarred and not allowed to play until he got converted to muslim.
But being a secular state India now released a christianity oriented lady's image in 5rs coin.
Senthil i too once got a co passenger in the same governement bus while i was studying. That gentleman asked about me and he said he is a true christian and started preaching the ideology of the religion. But i simply cut the topic by saying i am a non believer of God although i was not. Some times we must be very smart otherwise we need to lose our cool.

its a type of religious identity. One religion puts music for 24 hours loudly, in other the preacher shouts for his life and preaches, In another the same loud speaker shouts their religious people to call for a prayer. So one shouts for 24 hours and stops, next shouts for some times and stops till the next prayer, the other one shouts at regular intervals in a day.
