Greetings from Indian Disabled League: IDL FOUNDATION, non-profit NGO with a difference, a wholly registered charitable trust, which was rolled out on 3rd September 2003, by then Indian Cricket captain Mr. SAURAV GANGULY and Master blaster SACHIN TENDULKAR along with 35 Indian cricketers, Bangalore City Commissioner of Police, Minister for Women & Child Welfare-Karnataka, Film Actors and noted Movers & Shakers of Bangalore with packed media fraternity.
We are working for the holistic development for the persons with physical disabilities, with an emphasis on visually challenged people, focused to create equal opportunity and to integrate the special people into mainstream, to live a normal life with use of technology and scientific devises / aids & appliances.
So far we have helped more than 18,000 visually challenged/Blind people in Karnataka and received a STATE AWARD 2006 for our exemplary service for the disabled. IDL BLIND BAND, a musical troupe by visually challenged – all musicians & singers are blind people, who plays Guitar, Keyboards, Rhythm Pad, Flute, Tabla, Triple Congo & Bongo with 6 singers, who knows more than 300 multi linguistic songs, first of its kind in the state of Karnataka, performed to who's who of the world. We can perform from one to five hours. Now we wish to perform for you and your esteemed organization
So far IDL BLIND BAND has successfully performed for The Governor of Karnataka, The Mayor of Bangalore, Lokayukta, High Court Justice, Politicians, Senior Police Officials Mr. & Mrs. SUDHA MURTHY & N.R.NARAYANA MURTHY, Mr. & Mrs. ASHA DINESH & K.DINESH of Infosys and INDIAN CRICKET TEAM, including RAHUL DRAVID, SACHIN TENDULKAR, HARBAJAN SINGH, M.S.DHONI, SHEWAG, YUVARAJ, film actors/actress includes VISHNU VARDHAN, AMBARISH, RAVICHANDRAN n host of others, media personals, and Celebes plus who's who of Bangalore. Also played for ARMY JAWANS with JOHNY LEVER in addition to playing for around 5000 Central Prison at Parappana Agrahara, Off Hosur Road, Bangalore, rendered Musical Tribute to Dr.RAJ KUMAR with Raj Kumar Family apart from ROTARY, LIONS, LAUGHTER, WALKERS, SENIOR CITIZENS & VARIOUS CLUBS, MICO, BEL, BEML, CPRI, 200 schools & 16000+ students, NEWS PAPERS, JOURNALISTS and host of private / charity programmes.
