Without applying their mind to correct the existing unconstitutional provisions Indian Penal Code under sec 497 and 498 where a husband can prosecute a neighbor for enticing away his wife while the no wife can take punitive action against the other woman who commits the same kind of enticement or adultery, Our law makers are sitting and discussing how to look the other way when murders are committed in Khap Panchayaths. One can understand. if murders of temple managers can be ignored and religion provides for committing perjury in court of law with immunity to save an accused, Kaph panchayats do get the due preference to commit murders with immunity. After putting all the modern young men and women under fear of death we can attend to the IPC provision of 497 and 498 where we can treat the lady co-respondent as property and order her to either delivered to the prosecuting husband as done in theft cases or can be destroyed by a court order, as it is done in case of prohibition act or like a weapon of offence in a grave crime. God save the Indian Constitution.
