I was reading a bit earlier about comparing some sites. I was awed but not too surprised at some of the $$ amounts mentioned for site creation.

I have been using open source software (Xoops & Mambo at the moment) and have learned more about programming, database and "stuff" than I though I ever would. But I have to say it's been fun.

Right now I'm learning/using Phpnewads to create "partner" advertising since the Xoops Module for the same was not doing what I wanted it to.

Whew this has been an adventure!

Oh and is it a "guy" thing with all the themes I have seen - most of which are based on grey and black (and the ocassional eye popping orange). I took one and did everything in colors but the fonts :o) A "girl" theme! lol
