Social is the beginning of a relationship based on business. Often times if you cant be a friend then your business fails.
I do not necessarily look for the first person that walks thru our door. I look for the repeat customer that comes back each time because I showed enthusiasm in their being there in first place and always.
The customer comes first. See to their want or needs and grow a client by giving them something.
I have always gave something away to gain a new friend and client.
Be sociable and gain a friend. That friend may not be a customer but they may bring their friends in which will be a customer.
