I agree with Robert.
The universe at times appears to be both completely chaotic and totally organized. The chaos most frequently is destructive, which the organization is constructive.
This organization includes choosing the appropriate tasks, doing them in appropriate sequence, and being flexible/open to what unforeseen opportunities/events come into play.
It is not practical to plant cucumber seeds with the expectation of growing an oak tree. Nor is reasonable to expect to reap before you sow.
There is a certain formula, sequence which whatever plant is being grown. There are slight differences as to whether a seed or a cutting is planted; or a cutting is planted immediately or put in water first. And there is a basic sequence.
The same is true for growing a business, marketing a business being one component.
Many of us take the "pot shot" approach to see what will work. It costs a lot of time, money, and energy. Learning from Garland and others who have gone before, who have already experimented helps us to develop an organized plan. Staying abreast of the state-of-the-art developments helps a us to be able to upgrade our plans.
I look forward to reading Garland's book and continuing to learn what has worked for others with regard to internet marketing as I begin to develop my own online businesses.
