Clusty is one of my favorite search engines. In
addition to giving good quality search results like many of the major search
engines, it also creates clusters of results that you can use to refine your
search.
For example, when I do a search for "air traffic controller training" I get
144,800 results in Clusty. On the left side, clusty has broken them into
categories along with then number of results in each category like:
FAA
Job
Collegiate
Air traffic controller schools
Association
Operator
Books, etc
In this case, "air traffic controller schools" would make the most sense, so one
click narrows it down the the actual 11 of the 244,000 results that best fit
what I was looking for.
Clusty is one of the 70+ search tools that is part of
the Free Traffic Bar.
To access Clusty from the
Free Traffic Bar,
put your search phrase in the search bar and then pull down the down arrow to
the right of [type]. Go down the list of search types until you find [search
engines], then choose [clusty] and click on it.
If you do not want to install the
Free Traffic Bar,
you can access Clusty at www.clusty.com.
