If I could only choose one activity, it would be to innovate. Focus all of your attention on the problem being solved and a benefit being delivered. Make things easier, faster, better and safer.
Innovation can often be very subtle and can be easy to overlook.
Take for example, classified ads (pre Ebay). You got a certain number of words, your ad had to be in at a certain time, and you had no picture, no detailed description, no customization, you had an inefficient market with buyers and sellers scattered in different areas, and you had little to no trust factor (no feedback forum). But the system still worked.
Ebay comes along and turns the industry upside down and now you've got all these features that you can't live without.
Keep asking yourself how high is high, and you might be suprised at the results :)
