I would be suspicious of any program that preaches "profit-by-recruitment." Whatever happened to placing an emphasis on "products and services?" The last time I checked only those folks looking for a job seek the services of a recruiter. Sadly, a lot of MLM-type programs - not all - thrive on the prospect of a volunteer salesforce. For them, the product is irrelevant. What matters most is recruitment of a large salesforce for downline commission overrides.

Think about this. When just one person decides to cancel a policy or return a product, the chargeback goes all the way up the chain of command. Every salesman involved in that particular upline loses money. And, where does the chargeback money go? It goes back to the parent company. MLM parent companies are not stupid. You won't find them working for advanced commissions. Oh no. They know how important positive cashflow is...which is sadly more than you can say for most of their voluntary workforce.
