Google has an astounding array of free tools that anyone can use.

Their latest effort is Compete Snapshot which is a tool very much like Alexa for determining how a site compares with others on the Net in terms of traffic etc...

For example, here's how Ryze looks:

It shows how many people are visiting Ryze as well as how much time the average person stays on the site.
