Althea Garner
Hi Eric, No, my goals are very specific and very realistic. Firstly, my income (net) will be 50% up on last year (I have a plan and goals in order with budgets set) I plan to reach this goal by at least the first quarter, if not undoubtedly by the end of the second quarter (please mark your calendar and e-mail me at that time - I need a marker to make me work for it!) Secondly, my health plan is also very specific: I have already lost 18 lbs with a goal of another 20. This should take me to what I was when I first entered this country 10 years ago (and 10 lbs lighter than when I met my husband - :)) My goals are set for $UCCE$$. First off, my business goals are realistic based on my growth pattern for this year and based on my business plan for the forthcoming year. Second of all, my weight plan is also realistic. Based on the fact that I did not get anywhere with the commercial diet plans, (and considering my own medical history, injuries and failure rate) I wrote my own diet. I placed both myself and my husband on this diet (actually, a life style change) and we have both lost bags of weight and are keeping it off. Not only that, my cholesterol is lower and my blood pressure is back to normal after 2 years of suffering high blood pressure!) My plan is to custom make each members profile - diet, exercise, health & wellness, wardrobe, with experts in attendance to consult one-on-one) so as to make it work, with ultimate success. Thanks for your interest and looking forward to much more of your valued input. Don't forget to contact me after the end of the second quarter so that we can compare notes. Yours in absolute empowerment! :) A > Eric Sohn wrote: >

Time to get more specific: What does profitable mean? Cash flow? Net profit? Gross profit? How much more profitable? By when will you produce this result? What will you do to achieve this result? >

Also, is your deadline too far in the future? Should you create interim performance goals, so you can recognize successful results?

SMART goals...the more SMART, the more real it will feel, and the more realistic it will feel... and therefore, you will have a better chance of succeeding.
