It's nice but I think they should be combined/modified slightly:
"WithOUT NETworking - you'll sure to be NOTworking", "and if your OUT NOTworking, start NETworking!"
The earlier question of what I could reduce in my business is the one thing it's hard to offload: think critically.
I'd love to get my hands less dirty and focus on what I call "Original Thought" the "what is to be done? and the how is it to be done?" "and is now the right time to do it?" leaving the "now do it" details/gruntwork for employees, but I don't have the resources to support that yet. Some things by the time it's understood and communicated it's easier to do by oneself, at least initially and if you are can wear many hats flexibility.
The research into starting up businesses (e.g. where to incorporate, VC's/financing, marketing and business plans, corporate laws, employee relations, taxes, ip protection and the inevitable suit) is also not something that I find greatly rewarding or a bit daunting to do mostly by myself at this stage. But it's my businesse(s) and I need to understand it to make it grow well and I overall I love it all, as it's very clear to see results in the business by my efforts/focus ...or lack there of.
When I can afford specialized help it will allow me to not be so diverse in my focus, but that is also one of those "how it is to be done?" questions I've already answered but its not the right time to do it. But I at least have some idea of what's needed to do next.Private Reply to Troy Gardner (new win) |
