I personally love the marketing process and, in fact, do it for other people. I will often design brochures and write copy as part of my business to help others. But, I also detest cold calling and selling. What I will do to overcome that part is to picture myself as being onstage or behind a podium and speaking to them as an audience. Or, I will pretend I am calling an old friend I haven't seen in years and I can't wait to make contact with. That helps me immensely in overcoming the dread.
