My heros are my children. They sacrifice their mom so she can run her business and provide for each of them.

My oldest helps with dinner, household chores, her siblings, and more and never complains. She has a passion for cheerleading and wonderful leadership qualities. She is coming to terms with her faith and turning her life over and starting fresh at 13 years old. She is an Honor Roll student and was asked to participate in a Leadership Academy. Even though she wanted to, we didn't have the $700 to do it and she accepted that gracefully saying "MOm, if it was meant to be, God would provide the resources. I've asked, I've knocked, and I've searched. Its not there. That's God saying its not my time."

My middle child has a disability and she inspires me through her faith and strength. She is disabled from the waist down but nothing stops her. She plays golf, she dances, and she plays the piano. She makes her own accommodations when others don't know how to make them. She is consistently proactive. When people stare at her, she smiles, waves and says "hi, my name is Marissa. What's yours?". She prays for everything and everyone. She has an abundance of love, joy, happiness, and true passion for life and learning. When the kids make fun of her, she asks God "please help them understand, God". And he usually does. She has a multitude of friends and acquaintances who once made fun of her but she never holds it against them. "They don't understand, mommy. You have to explain it" she says when this happens. And generally once its explained they get over it and invite her to play. She has a learning disability but it doesn't stop her from succeeding in school and making progress. She has a passion for learning.

My youngest is 200% boy full of testerone to burn!!!!!! He is my adventure seeker. If he falls he just gets up, wipes himself off, and keeps going. Sometimes he learns to never do it again. Sometimes he doesn't. He is an explorer always looking for his next conquest and he's only 2.

My children never sing the "single mom" song some kids have learned. They help me when I need it. They do without the wants so my business can succeed for now and never complain. Every night we eat dinner at the dinner table and we talk. I have an open, honest relationship with each one of them. My oldest tells me everything I want and don't want to hear about her life. My middle child is the same. My youngest hugs and kisses his mommy all the time. They laugh and joke all the time. You would never know they go without anything they want. They overcome obstacles on a daily basis and sometimes they teach me.

Together they brighten my day and renew my passion for living. Individually they each inspire me in their own unique way with their own unique qualities.

What more inspiration do I need for my business or my life?
