I'm not sure Barney will work with mine:-) Actually, mine are 12 and 15, but I know what you're saying. I didn't do too badly today!

I know how you feel with distractions. Turn the ringer off, give yourself a couple hours and leave the computer off. Turn on your favorite music, and decide that "today's the day!" The kids, unless bleeding profusely (god forbid) will be fine until you're finished. I swear!

I have a daughter and when I am on the phone or have something to do, the rules are that the less I get interupted the sooner I'll get done and be available to her. Same goes for the phone. I explain to her that I need time to do grown up things. Barring having a very small child, like an infant, this can be done. Give the kiddies a project or pop in a movie until you do what you need to. You'll feel better and they'll get to use their imaginations etc., or relax and see that movie you may not be interested in watching. My daughter still loves Barney, so she'll watch that and I'll get my stuff done. :) Hope this helps.

What goal do you want to accomplish in the next 3 months? What are possible first steps you can take toward that goal? What might prevent you from taking that first step?
