Apr 13, 2004 3:22 am Eric: A break
Sue

Yes, for me taking a break works. I find that when I get overwhelmed that I should stop what I am doing and revisit it when I can think more clearly.

For me music works, I've said that over and over :) and I'll answer some e-mails, do something totally different for a bit, perhaps even a day until I can find a fresh perspective on it. A lot of times it helps not to push too hard when a break is called for because it won't be the your best work.

Does absence make the heart grow fonder? In other words, do you find that taking a break from what you're doing helps you gain fresh perspective when you return to the task at hand? And, what's your favorite way of clearing your head?

Happy Holidays to all! Easter is a time for renewal (even though I don't celebrate, so let's recharge!
