|| Who: A maid I think - someone who comes a couple of times a week and vacuums and does some of the other regular house chores I hate. Someone who is ethical, self motivated and can get the job done without taking short cuts that don't get the job done right.
Kinda like my lawn - guy shows up when the lawn looks like it needs to be mowed, mows, leaves and gets paid at the end of the month. He doesn't come and mow when he shouldn't, doesn't harrass me for a check each time and poof, one less chore for me. I actually don't know how often he comes but he always comes one or two days after I recall thinking "hmm, my grass is looking a little tall, I hope he shows up."
I do have a budget too so not like I can fly someone here a couple of times a week to do it. :)
I'm a little leary of the merry maids and a couple of other businesses. I still recall someone telling me they hired a group like that and one of the girls stood and scrubbed the stove until she was told to move on to the next job. She cleaned it and then proceeded to stand there scrubbing one spot until it was almost bare because she wasn't told to move on to the next thing soon enough.
Why: less stuff for me to think about so I can get more work done and also more time for things I enjoy. I initially thought I'd love to have an assistant but I don't think I'm ready budget wise for that. I have however started a list of the "chores" I do and what day I typically do them on so that hopefully they will be an easy to follow check list for someone else.
Sorry this is a little long. I've been on a role with typing today.
