|| Hi Folks...
Just joined a few days ago...still feeling my way around here...I am a college professor in Toronto (in a graphic design program...have also taught interactive design). I consider it a part of my job to mentor youth and maintain contact with former students for years...still in touch with some of the first from 6 years ago when I started.
I have benefitted many times in the past from the mentorship of others and find that the rewards for being a mentor are also great. Some of those rewards are intangible...the good feeling of seeing someone do well because of the guidance I've given them...sometimes it is substantial, my reputation is increased because of the loyalty of my proteges...
Overall, from either perspective, it is a great situation.
Hope to hear from some of you folks...
