Hi Mike,
Praying this finds you and Teri in good spirits..
The true test of a Great post, is it's ability to continue to engage others, and this one has stood the test with new responses every so often since the original back in November.
I had intended to respond quite some time ago, even to the point of having it entered and ready to post when my system froze, and I just didn't have time to get back to it. None-the-less, whenever I see another post it brings me back wanting to add my "word".
My previous response was rather long winded, describing why this word meant so much to me, but after thinking on it this long I realize the meaning will be clear enough with just a short description.
The word is not English, but rather it is in the Lakota language, and although I may have the spelling wrong, and perhaps even the exact translation wrong, I know what it's meant to me.
"Tioshpa" is the word, and it means home/family/place of belonging. To me, nothing is more important than family, and in my world friends become family.
Wishing all my friends Success!
Tim
