Powerful (Adjective): able to exert a lot of influence and control over people and events.

Strong: with great physical or mental strength or force.

Effective: with the strength or qualities to be effective in producing a result.

Persuasive: able to produce a strong effect on people’s ideas or emotions.

As you see by the aforementioned definitions listed above; that yes the TV is a formidable tool to be utilized for mass communication. One reason is that it is involving most of the senses. And will be even better when they come out with Smellivision.

But as with any tool, it has limited uses and can not do everything to build your company.
Each has it’s place and time to be utilized.
Any good builder needs an array of tools for building anything of worth.
The knowledge and expertise to utilize those tools is what separates success from failure and the good from the great.

If you only use one tool, and think that you can build something of any significance, you need to look at your definition of worth!!

Try to name any company that has only used one of the medias to present their product / service. I can name many of them because they are out of business.

We as entrepreneurs are calculated risk takers, in business to make money. But we are multitalented to a degree. After we reach that level that we can not go further alone we must rely on others to perform with or for us. We add to our tool box!!

Just a thought!!

>>Nope, Mark, just the mass-iest of the mass media. The most powerful tool is exactly what it was a thousand years before TV: word of mouth.
