Well done Tarun and the BBN
The network came to the rescue where all else failed.

Sorry, I have not been very regular here so have missed the other post where this was mentioned so responding here.

But frankly it is scary to think that we live in a country where we cannot rely on the police to come to our rescue in a situation like this.
This was an incident which should have never happened, but considering that the cops knew it was happenign makes it even worse.
We typically live being equally scared of cops and thieves...a really sad state of affairs. Doubly so when you live for a while in a developed ocuntry and see how good things can actually be. The police is a real thing here who come to support the people and protet them.

What can the people (we) do about this ?? if anything ?

My 2 paisa worth...

Alls well that ends well !!!!

I've read this story twice, and I really appreciate the efforts extended by some of the BBN members to help people in need.

But What I still fail to understand is the following:
1. I assume that people who are members of this Network are well-educated and are aware that the activities or response from the police should be brought to light. This will definitely help others traveling in the same route, as the police will be alert the next time and they will not try to rob people, but instead will protect them.
2. Reporting to press is the best medium to explain the incident and alert others about the same. Even the person who called BBN for help didn’t feel the need to talk to press and disclose the people behind this incident?? Surprising!!.
3. Even if others haven’t, I think it would have been great if BBN had gone to the press. (Not sure if they did, coz I didn’t read about this in the daily papers)

This is what I feel. :)
