Dean H. | | Shiv- It seems to be inactive, cuz I retired from Ryze events some time ago :). Most of the Ryze events are phased out so it's a nation wide occurence and not just something occuring "inside the beltway"
Having said that, I had considered starting up a montly or bi-montly networking meetup for entrepreneurs in the DC area. It's real informal and we can get together over lunch or dinner and just talk, eat, and network.
Dunno if it's something other biz people would be interested in, though?

Jason Silverberg | | Hi Dean,
I've actually started a few of my own networking groups, since things have been so inactive here. If we can revive this group, I would be game for joining!
We all know that the summer months are generally slow for sales people and entrepreneurs. What better time to revive the group then now!
I'm in.

Dean H. | | Yeah, I hear you Jason.
Summer tends to be slow for networking but it's not a big concern for me. Like I said, it just takes a few people to meet for it to get started. As long as people see some value and it's mildy fun for them, then it'll spread and grow by summers end. Personally, I could stand to get out and just have lunch with a group of business people and have some fun in the process, if even for an hour.
I've seen a couple Meetup.com entrepreneur groups start in the DC area and they've blossomed into a decent crowd. If it grows right, I can transfer a good portion of this membership into a more private based online platform and put us on CollectiveX's software

Alisa Kennedy | | I totally agree with getting together lunch meetings, happy hour or any of that jazz. Just include me Dean on whatever you get together.
Nice website!
