Veterans Day - Ryze
Remembrance Day and YOU - a Veteran of Spirit
Following is my annual tribute to
the holiday and of course it includes my customary
Also, did you know
that this year, the government has designated this week of November 9
through November 15, 2008, as "National Veterans Awareness Week" to
emphasize the need to develop educational programs regarding the
contributions of veterans to the country.
Veterans Day and Remembrance Day
Honoring All Veterans
Becoming Veterans of
While those who died are also remembered on Veterans
Day, Veterans Day is the day set aside to thank and honor ALL those who
served honorably in the military - in wartime or peacetime. In fact,
Veterans Day is largely intended to thank LIVING veterans for their
service, to acknowledge that their contributions to our national
security are appreciated, and to underscore the fact that all those who
served - not only those who died - have sacrificed and done their duty.
Canada and Australia observe "Remembrance Day" on the same date,
November 11, although in Australia it is observed like our Memorial
Day, to honor the nation's war dead. Britain observes "Remembrance Day"
on the Sunday nearest November 11.
Let's remember to honor those who have defended our freedoms and
silently thank them for their service. And let's not forget to include
those men and women who serve and have served in other nations for the
cause of freedom for all our planet's citizens.
And while you're at it, take a moment to honor your prosperity thoughts
and the guidance of Spirit which are soldiers that protect you from
error thoughts that keep you from your freedom to express your talents
and abilities, and that valiantly defend you from the tyranny of
negative thinking and past conditioning.
You will then become a Veteran
of Spirit that serves your consciousness well and brings
you freedom and peace.
