With a heavy heart, I am informing you that H.Sridhar, the great sound engineer, affectionately called "Mozart of Madras", and A.R.Rehman's favourite sound engineer, passed away last night following a cardiac arrest.
He has been the recipient of National Award for Audiography for his work in the films Mahanadi in 1994, Dil Se in 1999, Lagaan in 2001 & Kannathil Muththamittal in 2003.
His other works include:

I have not heard of him, but seeing the long list of movies, I can say the industry has lost a gem.
Pray that his soul rest in peace!

From A.R.Rehman's first film till date....he has been the sound engineer for all his film songs and background scores. Whenever we applauded Rehman....we applauded him.

Manpreet Singh Kalsey | | God takes away the good ones early. Even he is fond of good music and calls the best oens faster. Hope Sridhar will look down and be satisfied with his replacement......
