Paula Quick | | Just reconfirming with my Ryze buddies that you can have multiple Twitter accounts. I want to start a very niche specific account and following. I don't want to co-mingle these messages with my current followers.
Can I open the new account with my present name (Paula Quick) or do I need a different identity altogether and e-mail address. FYI, my Twitter ID will be different from my current one: mental makeover.
Thanks!

Lamar Morgan 954-603-7901 | | Question. Can you have numerous Twitter accounts using the same email address? Or, do you have to have a different email address and username for each account? I currently have two accounts. One uses my main email address. The other uses my gmail address. Both also have a different username. However, I would much prefer to have ALL my Twitter accounts under the same email address. Is that possible?

Kurt Schweitzer | | Lamar,
I don't know if multiple email accounts are required or not, but if they are required, here's what you can do:
Set up multiple Gmail accounts. configure them all to auto-forward any incoming mail to your main email account, and NOT to store them locally (on Gmail). Then use each of those Gmail accounts for a separate twitter account.
Yes, it's a little extra work, but it gives you the results you want. IF you have to do it.
I follow a couple people on twitter who have multiple accounts - one for business tweets and one for personal. I've never felt the need, so I don't personally know what's involved.
For that matter I have multiple email addresses anyway, so if there is such a requirement it wouldn't bother me any.

Rodney Collins | | Each Twitter account has to have a unique email address because you can login to Twitter with either your username or your email address.

When you say each Twitter account has to have a "unique" email address, does that mean only one account can end in "gmail.com?" In other words, on Twitter you can only have ONE G-mail account?

Russ Jackman | | A unique address would be lamar1@gmail.com, lamar2@gmail.com, etc. Each email address could be used to log in to a separate account, regardless of the domain that email address resides on.

Scott Wolpow | | If you use your own domain this is very easy and you can alias teh names in your email admin. EXpect Google to start finding a way to charge for Gmail real soon.Private Reply to Scott Wolpow |

Lamar Morgan 954-603-7901 | | Scott,
You expect Google to start charging for gmail use because the gmail program is currently in its beta stage? Once the program is no longer in the beta stage, you expect Google to charge the public for gmail? Or, do you expect them to provide a premium service for a fee and also have a free version? That is what Jott.com did once it came out its beta stage. In fact, there were several different packages you could get. Both Skype and Yugma maintain free services along with fee-based ones.
