Chris Morgan | | Last week I asked who tweeted. For anyone that has not ventured into creating a free Twitter account, I urge you to get on the bandwagon.
I have delved into twitterverse to see what the hoopla has been about. I'm still not done, but from what I read before I signed up for my free twitter account, is that it's suppose to be the fastest and best Micro Blogging system to expose your business. Based on my experiment you be the judge.
On January 17 I created my Twitter account. I needed to get my two new websites exposed. I wanted to see if tweeting was going to give me the results. Added the Twit This plugin for Word Press and Tweeted all the post I had created thus far.
What did I want to grain from tweets using my twitter account?
#1. Activity on the new sites = Google Indexing the pages
#2. Unique Visitors = faster way to achieve Google Page Rank + ability to create passive income via ads placement on the site which is a future plan
#3. Provide information on what I know = helps to build trust
#4. Get the sites listed in top position and pages of Major Search Engines = Faster exposure of web presence if you're listed in the top positions and top 1 - 10 page results
My site was up and doing okay when one of them had a Browser Incompatibility problem with my Word Press Theme. Starting from scratch I had to do everything again. That was the evening of the 17th of January. The site went back live on January 19th with a whole new set up of articles and a new theme.
On February 1, I ran a Search Engine Page Rank report. Which accomplished #4 getting WAH Services listed 22 times in top positions and the Mommy Resource in 10 Major Search Engines in pages 8 - 10.
With all the debacle of site going up and down I have managed to retain my followers. Which accomplishes #3. Providing information that other people want on information that I know. Even with the site being in accessible, I managed to keep my followers, not all but most.
#1 has been accomplished. Currently Google has indexed 846 pages of my WAH Services site. My Mommy Resource site only 204 times, but I haven't really worked on it much, since it's basically just my little playground.
#2 was accomplished on February 18th. The Unique Visitor Count was over 1,000+
The added bonus, which was unexpected is the Alexa Rank
Cmorgansweb.us has a traffic rank of: 865,380
(up 3,608,612)
I am in awe at what Twitter can do for a website.
Granted, I'm sure a lot of the page listings in Google and other Major Search Engines has to do with the Search Engine Optimization techniques I have integrated with the infrastructure of the websites as well as utilizing SEO in content creations.
The bottom line I'm sure you're asking while you read this . . . if I made any sales? Well, no because that wasn't the intention, not right now. The sites aren't selling anything aside from maybe previewing my Cafe Press sites in the Mommy Resource website, which I haven't done any promotion on either. The WAH Services is currently offering only Work at Home Resources and information and a ton of information on Everything Twitter.
So, what's my point? lol . . . Twitter is very powerful if you know how to use it for business. I created my twitter account and thus far it has done what I needed it to do.
Dell, tweeted last year about their sales and made 100,000+ their is a tool that can be used to create Coupons that's sent via Twitter.
Anyone doing Events online or offline can utilize the Events Manager and use it to broadcast an Online Craft Fair or a physical home party. The tool allows you to tweet about it and keep track of who will attend.
Use Twitter to network and find connections. My articles has caught the attention of the most sought after internet marketer Dan Hollings. Several DM's from him since then. Who is he, the man behind the internet marketing phenomena "The Secret".
My normal social networking may have never allowed me to meet this man. Twitter has opened up more social networking contacts than any of the social network sites I belong to.
So, if you haven't caught the tweeting bug, don't think you have time, don't know how to use it, or whatever excuse you may have for not having a twitter account. Don't worry about it. Just create one!
