Mar 17, 2009 9:51 am | | Serious topics are supposed to remain serious..Thread breakers to take note | # |
Lavanya Karalkar | | There are some serious topics which in my openion should not go astray like the 'Pinnal Kolattam' topic which started from Pinnal kolattam and deviated to 'finding a guy for Lavanya'..NOt that LK(g) is in one way perturbed but there are some serious members who want their serious topics to remain serious ..so the thread breakers/deviators/astrayers/ like LK(g) and the likes to leave the topic intact by not trespassing..Some of the topics which appear serious to this humble illitterate platformwasi even though some have been already trespassed are :
1) Vellore 2) Hindi Nahin Maalum 3) Dog's day out 4) traumatic Tirupathi 5) hero worship 6) August Mixer 7) Nice habits 8) Most of the topics by the son of Shri Narasimhamoorthy
In bangalore, my abode is in Contonment station which is small and drab as compared to Egmore or even Chinchpokli.. Though the station is kept quite clean with new trashcans and coffee day coffee shops, it is not as friendly as Egmore First Platform. (Main reason being canteen wala at Egmore station serves free cutting coffee and wada sambhar occassionally but Coffee day coffeewala acts big)..This made me to think seriously and such serious thinking leads me to serious decisions and it has dawned on me that even though Sekar like serious topicarions sometimes want the thread breakers to visit their topic, many serious topicarions want to protect their topic even if it is only one of them visiting the topic again and again. (Like some ladies who keep their kanjeevaram sarees so safe and dont wear it and finally when they take it to wear the life of the saree is already over).
So from my side I have taken a decision not to trespass any thread unless invited.,( Trespassing after invitation sounds oxymoron but still some really want the thread breakers to enter their thread to get some popular comments..
So friends, you can add the serious thread to this thread or show the topic with a serious mark, then it is a promise from LK(g) (till she is in Bangalore) not to trespass.. This thread is not repeat NOT a serious thread and those who want to join me in my mindblowing decision can indicate the same in this thread. Private Reply to Lavanya Karalkar |

Ganesh Ram | | I feel this will cull people from extracting ideas from those who chatter around in the so called "serious" topic.
I am not suggesting that people should show their presence in every thread, like I do. But we should treat the thread as sitting in a coffee shop and discussing. You will always have chatters but those interested if they stick on to the topic instead if rebuttals to chatters the threads will automatically filter them out. SD is a nice example. Heat is on is another onePrivate Reply to Ganesh Ram |

We post topics in this thread to get views of CNK Members. We do enjoy brickbats, pats and humorous exchanges. But sometimes the exchanges becomes very personal and between two members then we feel the seriousness is disturbed and even indicate then and there.
You need not get disturbed by our observations. You keep going in the way you are...that only is your value addition to this thread.
Do not take such serious decisions that too sitting in a platform...that too in the garden city/IT Capital of India..
Come on Lavanya cheer up....be what you are....
We always want your comments on our posts...your posts to pass on our comments freely.

Basab Ghosh | | This is very serious! I am very concerned! Has LK(g) had a heat stroke? Yeh kaisi behki behki baatein kar rahi hai?
Aiyo Rama! If the 'serious' topics are not made interesting by so called thread breakers, they will sink to the bottom of the pile in two days! The pranks are essential to keep serious threads floating!Private Reply to Basab Ghosh |

sujatha suresh | | or maybe some 'distill'ation is needed U think BG?
..... mmmmm LK only becos of a grain of sand in an Oyster can a pearl be formed.... I mean to say friction of thoughts helps to better clarity on a topic.
Hmmm does this help???
Think twice it's another day in Paradise....

padmanabhan ramasubban | | BG,
I agree we do make lot of clowning only to break the monotony for which no one needs capital punishment or they are required to be banished to siberia!!!!!!!
Whenever it becomes a serious exchange or volley of words you would have observed ryzers have shown enough restriant /sense to have their feet firmly on ground and they chill out without anybody telling them .
I for one always made it a point to return to the thread inspite of all the crap!!!!!!!!!(pun intended)

Senthil Nathan | | LK(G)
What happened now?
Why this sudden decision and got into this mood of striking/rebellion?
Making everyone to plead at you...
Hope no one said anything against you and even if said wouldnt have had any effect on you. Then why this shocking move...
As already mentioned everything needs some spice to keep up the matter entertaining....and to reach the mass.
So thread breakers are like the comedy tracks in Indian movies/ jokers in the circus. They may mean nothing in the context but they are one of the selling factors.
Whatever may be the thing, I expect anyone to comment or be there in threads started by me in any form........So this is an open invitation and so dont expect an invitation each and every time.
Even now I cant believe that such a thread was started by LK(G)Private Reply to Senthil Nathan |

Hindi atha hai tho problem ki malayalam nahi atha, Hindi nahin atha tho vaiysa bhi problem ....

stranger | | Lavanyaji... all of a sudden what happened to you? 'departing from the topic' is not a new thing.. and it has been happening since ages, and by now we are all used to it. And we do depart sometimes just to add colour and flavour to the thread; after all we have quite a lot of people who stick to the original topic to preserve the seriousness...
i am proud of the 'ethnic genocide - 2' thread which was successful to a reasonable extent and the digressions were too little and is ignored.
No need for any harsh rules against 'thread breakers/deviators/astrayers/tresspassers.... and infact, we get to know people through their comments and postings..
i hope nobody here is 'seriously joking'.Private Reply to stranger |

Charles Pradeep | | LK(g) -
Am sure this is not the first time this subject is being broached!
But for all these bouquets & brickbats interluded with nuggets of wisdom and insights, I am sure I / we would never know the interesting people from the impostors! Personally, I would be a fool to 'judge a book by its cover' or if I were to assume the nature of an individual, just by what he / she discusses in one thread!
Am sure there are no children below 18 in this forum... Most of us (of that I am certain) know our bounds and we have PM / GB entries to voice our concerns / appreciations on a personal note...
We all have appreciated, applauded & even chastised each other and have always been taken in the right spirit (I guess!!).
Now chill & have another cutting chai at cantonment or of course you have lots of Mallya's Spirits flowing down the taps to boost your spirits!
Cheers! CPPrivate Reply to Charles Pradeep |

sujatha suresh | | LK when I re-read some of your postings all I can see is bindass words and free flow of 'Out standing' Thought Process.....
Example.... 3) Dog's day out 4) traumatic Tirupathi 5) hero worship 6) ...... 7) ...... 8) Most of the topics by the son of Shri Narasimhamoorthy
Oh no, am not supporting/Justifying nor am I pacifying... See, I don't know who called/PMed whom and what happened....
Just an observation about a talent I see.... That's all.Banlore has its own beauty hang out at Leela Palace get a new brand of Cigar and a new hair style and Bratzy will get some occupation in finding all your new relatives.... Hahaha
Then who knows like New Man, you will start a post 'New found Realtives and Life Thereafter'.... As it is according to our reports Mallaya is having many spirits, so you can have and speak of Relatively new relatives and eerie spirits....
I'll be away for the next couple of days......
