Dear S,
Since you have asked me for information about my part of the hemisphere I am giving you the following information which our Indian Judiciary might consider as defamation of Indian jurists in general and Chennai lawyers in particular.

Lawyers of Madras high Court fought a pitched battle against armed police by throwing stones at them. It all started with lawyers failing to work more than two weeks, because Sri Lankan Army was fighting LTTE in northern half of Sri Lanka. After nearly a week of stand still in most courts of Tamilnadu a set of lawyers exercised their fundamental right to throw rotten eggs at Mr. Subramaina Samy an ex minister, who had his education in United States, in the revered presence of a High Court Judge or Two(?) during the course of hearing of a case.

Our high court judges who have the right and privilege to interpret fundamental rights under the Indian Constitution, suspended the operation of Sec 352 of the Indian Penal Code which calls an intentional use of force by throwing rotten eggs at an ex-minister as assault punishable and doing the same during the proceedings of the honorable sitting judges by lawyers of some standing, I presume no egg throwing lawyer was found sitting while guiding the white and yellow contents chicken eggs to explode and spread on the deplorable ministerial countenance, against which the Chennai jurists had special distaste. This Dr. Subramania samy has a history of once influencing the central government to dismiss the DMK government at Chennai and has a record of escaping the police hunt to arrest him while AIDMK was ruling in Tamilnadu. He outclassed the three times National award winning actor of Tamilnadu, in the matter of make up and disguise before taking a flight to Delhi. We the politically oriented people have a lurking suspicion that he could have had a hand in the constitutional appointment of one chief election commissioner who gave a perpetual head ache for us during the polls, that all subsequent CEC taken the cue and are continuing to be a pain in our neck that we try to cure by throwing rotten eggs or stones at people as a matter of private defense for we never lifted one stone and left them all unturned in public defence.

The judiciary has done the greatest service to our stone throwing legal fraternity by finding two IPS officers guilty without giving them any opportunity to defend themselves except for candidly admitting that the lawyers have no right damage the testicles of a head constable just because he came on court duty. A policeman’s testicles are not a legal necessity where the pride of Bar Council of Madras is concerned. We are happy that we are able to shake the judicial lions by their manes as our Mahathma did in his article. There must be one article in the Indian Constitution which could make a mere testicle of police head constable ULTRA Vires.
Come to India to practice law if you want to hold police man to submission by taking his testicles.
