It Could Have Been Worse, But It Isn't...Views: 511

Sheeba Riyaz
It’s very easy to express gratitude for the good things life brings. We all do that from time to time. Feeling grateful is a wonderful emotion. It transmits positive energy out into the Universe that then lure elements that lie within the same frequency.

How is that possible?

When you help those in need and they express gratitude, how does that make you feel? Does it feel great to be appreciated? Would you help them out in future too? You obviously would!

Well, what if your effort is not appreciated and they criticize and humiliate you instead? Would that affect the way you feel about them? What are the possibilities of you jumping in to help them should another similar situation arise? Very bleak? I won’t blame you for that.

Everyone likes to be appreciated. Gratitude, expressed even subtly sends out positive signals that lure more positivity towards you. This applies to everything that exists within the boundaries of this Universe.

Expressing gratitude for the less-perfect things in life will also emit positive signals that will work towards enhancing your situation.

Being grateful for everything does not necessarily mean that you are satisfied with them. It does not imply that you do not require a better life.

Instead, you are being grateful FOR HAVING SOMETHING THAT SOMEONE ELSE DOES NOT HAVE!

That leaky roof may have been annoying you for weeks, but you still need to be grateful for the fact that you do have a roof over your head! Someone out there is less fortunate.

You may feel that you have the worst job in town, but I bet that you would be able to find someone who would find your job a real blessing!

Been in an abusive relationship? Just be grateful for the fact that you are not in one right now. Even if you are still in that relationship, you can be grateful that you still have time to do something about it.

As long as you are alive, you have something to be grateful for. Life is never going to be a huge garden blooming with roses that come without thorns. Its how you feel about the thorns that matter.

If you think your garden has more thorns than anyone else does, think again. Your life would seem so much better to someone else out there.

Things do go wrong for life is never exciting without the curves but if you want less curves in future, learn to love the ones you have now.

Afterall, it could have been worse, but it isn’t!

Bull's Eye?
Drona can miss the target, Arjuna can too, but like ekalaivA,
I do present one of the link that had sheeba's contribution to CNK here

http://universaltruthoflife.i-skillz.com/blogs/index.php/main/it-could-have-been-worse-but-it-isn-t

The biggest issue I have with many of these type of posts are there seems to be NO ACKNOWLEDGMENT for where was it taken from. It might be sheeba who writes there too. Who knows? and why am I no(i)s(e)y?

Well, if you have not been noticing much from the UToL blog, I am its sole founder and writer.

I certainly do not find anything offensive about posting my own work practically anywhere I choose to online or offline.

I did mention my blog url on my profile, in case you miss that out too. I am glad that you pointed it out and would like to say that I surely would be posting more of such articles here to share my work with you all.

Those who can drop by at my blog often, you are most welcome to do so, or else....drop by here. :)

Kanchana is right.

In addition to posting your original stuff you should consider participating is some of the lively discussions too. It helps you to network better and your original writing gets better attention when discussion follows your post. Discussion helps to keep the thread on top and elongates the span of attention it gets.

Sheeba,
thanks for "that" addition. And thanks for adding the PS in the other post. While what you have said about where you can post is completely true, it also means that people like me, whether correct or incorrect will discuss about it in various categories. One of such is if the post is original.

I usually do not go into the contributor page until I really have to. This time I did go to your page to figure out if Riyaz and Riyas are the same person.

The other thing about CNK(short for Chennai Network Kudumbam) is that many golden posts are floated up by replies that might be irrelevant to the thread.

Many posts do have a dry humor attached to it.

@To the topic

Had read somewhere from some book - not the exact words but the gist of it

"The only thing that any man under this world needs is recognition, be it job or home or sex or life or religion or anything."

This is my philosophy (ha ha ha- believe every man himself is a philosopher)

"Be prepared mentally to face the worst that you can dream pertaining to anything, and then when you are going to do anything or face anything in reality then you will see its not as difficult as the worst situation and thus it gives you more motivation and force to reach the goal"

sf anna no mister buster business henceforth, you call me plain paddu, otherwise I will see that you are sent to siberia or may be to Bering sea for emperor crab fishing!!or may be kayaking in the granite rapids!or to mount everest to climb without oxygen as Reinhold Messner did it twice!

Look keep aside the humor and see the underlying truth many have overcome the hardship successfuly in the above activites and we now know it is possible .

The truth of the matter is play the game of life hard and never allow failure to defeat you!

sf anna I always call people older than me as anna and younger than me as periyaa anna!!

So seriyaa periyaa anna!!

Sometimes you must also indulge in some nonsense. As they said, all work (serious thinking) and no play makes jack a dull boy!
