Anurag Mathur | | I have always wondered about this and always wondered where can I get some like minded Fufa's to ponder about this so here goes.....
You're walking sedately by the pavement when a biker brushes past your elbow as he frantically overtakes and auto from the left which has veered to the left to allow the BEST bus on its right to overtake it
You are in your car and the light is green at the Chakala crossing but just as you amble past ( AND YOU ARE STILL IN GREEN) when the entire river of traffic from the other end ( DEEP IN RED) ignores the lights and rushes past you as you scamper to safety
You are crusing down the Express highway and the car behind you keeps blowing its horn asking you to speed up and clear the way.. Well, well well going by the above, one would be inclined to think this is a nation on the move, inclined for passion and speed and inclined to get things done.
But no, if you were to follow any of the dudes I mentioned above who on the road are in such a rush, after they've parked their cars/ buses/ bikes are completely chilled out specimens with an indifferent Chalta Hai attitude to life and work.........
Your thoughts O Fufae !
Cheers Anurag

FuFaji Lalit Vashishta | | its frustrating. Lekin yahaan sab chalta hai. Its not only Mumbai but every nook and corner of this country. The same people become law abiding citizens when driving in different countries. But in India - peer pressure you see... We are like this only na. Needs a complete mindset change and I am convinced this can only happen by ENFORCEMENT. OR else nothing will change. change.look at how drunken driving reduced....soPrivate Reply to FuFaji Lalit Vashishta |

Basab Ghosh | | //You are crusing down the Express highway and the car behind you keeps blowing its horn asking you to speed up and clear the way..//
We blame others without realising what we are doing wrong....
Why were you 'cruising' sedately on the right most lane? The right most lane is for overtaking and after overtaking, one needs to come back to middle (if it is three lanes each way) or the left lane. One is not supposed to 'cruise' on the right lane. On an express highway, one is expected to drive (cruise) at the declared speed limit even on the left most lane.
In other words, the right lane is not the 'right' lane for cruising, the left lane is the 'right' lane. Rather confusing, isn't it? Somehow the confusion disappears when Indian drivers drive in other countries!Private Reply to Basab Ghosh |

Anurag Mathur | | Basabbhai, was cruising in the Left lane which the 'right' lane as you say at around 30 ( you anyways can't go faster in peak hour traffic) and still the joker behind is kissing his horn ! In New York its pretty rude to honk anyways
the point is not about right / left lanes on the road. Its about the lanes in the head. I mean why do perfectly bovine cud munching Indians at office and work turn into such speed demons on the road is the mystery ! Cheers
