I wanted to discuss two innovative artists that I have heard of.
One is CF John - I hear he is a great upcoming artist from Bangalore. He uses natural innovative materials in his paintings like leaves and fibre etc. He is a graduate from the
The other is Devjyoti Ray, an artist from West Bengal. He uses bright colors to paint his subjects, most of them without any distinct facial features.
Does anyone know if they are worth watching as upcoming Indian artists?
Does anyone know in what range their works sell for?
Would appreciate any suggestions

Thanks for the links,CF John seems to be an interesting personality, a bit controversial in his thinking but a socially consious person.
It seems like he is painting for a cause rather than monetary gain. The person is interesting, I have seen some of his works too, they look interesting too.
I think he has potential, we should wait and watch.

Sudha Kotiyan | | I do not know about CF John, but Devajyoti Ray has a Bangalore connection too. Anyway, Devajyoti Ray is definitely an important yound generation artist. Three years back he was described by The Telegraph as the most promising among the new generation of artists in India.
Ray's works are available with Art Konsult Gallery in New Delhi, Galerie Art Eterne and Kalakriti Gallery of Hyderabad.
He also has a site of his own. www.devajyotiray.com
