Lamar Morgan 954-603-7901 | | I see that Larry Ellison is planning a special webcast to introduce a database machine. This appears to be the first big thing to happen since Oracle purchased Sun Microsystems. I feel there is a big effort here by Ellison to dethrown Microsoft from its monopoly of the software industry. Of course, I could be very mistaken here. However, I do have a question. Since an ordinary computer can run a database, what's a database machine? What's the big deal about this? This webcast is scheduled for this coming Tuesday. If you want to watch the webcast, visit this site for more information.
