I have the first solo Sintra recording ever. It is LPT-5 from RCA/Victor [the fifth record they issued]. None of the people I used to deal with are in the business anymore, so I do not have any good contacts. This record is so rare, it does not get any results on Google.Any one no an expert?

Hi there!

I nearly fell over when I read this. I am 40 years old and have been collecting Edison cylinders since I was ten years old. I am a programmer and wrote a series of algorithm's that deal with both audio (records) and photographic (motion picture and still) artifacts.

I have a multi-processor IBM System 390 (Z-90) that I use to chew through the math needed to clean up audio, video, motion picture film or photographs. I am a former Private Investigator and most of my clients were attorneys, private eye types or law enforcement people that needed help with case evidence; I retired from that profession in 2005.

Will you be submitting a digital file to me or will I be responsible for the analog intake (conversion)? I have both
analog and laser playback machines. Both the computer system and players are in storage due to the landfall of Ike in 2008. If you can wait until spring 2010 when I get a permanent building to move into, I'd love to help!

Wow, I am looking to sell it. I wish I knew you back in the 90's when I used to chian 16mm with my Elmo 16G.
Many degraded films could have used it.
I will keep it in mind, I know a person who had plenty of Edison cylinders also hundreds of Player Piano scrolls, some with original and lost compositions.

send me you contact info scott at wolpow dot com
