Hi Maurice,

I understand your concerns while starting business and not having clients, join BNI, a fantastic forum to get you referral to your business by the member, (members act like sales person to your business, without any cost) you can visit them 2 times if you like the forum and if you find the value which can add to your business you may join the group.

Go to www.bni.com, find the chapter near your place and visit them. BNI has been running past 25 years successfully around the world for all struggling business people.

I've been a member of the chapter for last 3 years, members have been asset to our organization.

ALAS ! you are asking a question which any business in the world would not know the answer...

Its all on the kind of marketing approach one has taken and the one which is suiting him....

As a new business in consulting.. I try many things..
cold calling, referrals, emails all..

But one thing I keep very tight is scoring higher than expected from my existing clients and this is giving me more business...

BNI is filled with people who have no idea how to get clients, do you really want them trying to get you clienst, whne they can not help themselves. BTW I am a former VP of a chapter.
