Nagar Cross Road No.1 Behind Wadia School, Andheri on 7th, 8th and 9th May 2010 at 7 pm. Maestros like Padmabhushan Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan (Vocal), Padmashri Pandit Satish Vyas (Santoor), Pandit Nityanand Haldipur (Flute), Zunain Khan (Sitar), Ustad Maqbool Husain Khan (Vocal), Ghulam Abbas Khan (Vocal) will perform in this 3 – day Hindustani Classical Music Festival. On the first day i.e on Friday, May 7th young Zunain Khan will present his Sitar Recital who is the son and disciple of Ustad Halim Jafar Khan which will be followed by a Vocal Recital of Ustad Maqbool Hussain Khan. The 2nd day i.e on Saturday, May 8th will begin with a Vocal Recital of Ghulam Abbas Khan who is the son of Ustad Ghulam Sadiq Khan from Delhi.The second performance of the day will be a Santoor Recital by Maestro Pandit Satish Vyas who is widely acclaimed Santoor player. He learnt Santoor under the legendary Pandit Shivkumar Sharma. Satish Vyas has been a regular concert artiste for the last 25 years, performing and recording widely at prestigious festivals and venues all over the world. In 2003, he was awarded the Padma Shri. On Sunday, May 9th which is the last day the first item will be a Flute Recital by Senior Flautist Pandit Nityanand Haldipur who is a disciple of Annapurna Devi of Maihar Gharana. The festival will conclude with a Vocal Recital by the legendary Vocalist Padma Bhushan Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan who has trained many Bollywood singers like Hariharan apart from many young classical musicians.
