Kancheepuram is going to be the next Madras city. We bought a 5 grounds old banglow in 1960 for a lakh and 32 thou, and it is worth 25 crores today. Going by gold standard that has gone up 150 times the value is less than double. By the theory money getting interest doubling every 5 years in bank; it would be 7 crores. There are other factors that make land value go up.
The fact that Kancheepuram is closer to Chennai helps. Investment there is a good idea. sometimes floods damage and cyclones too . . . over time the civilizations on river banks endure and survive longest and prosper best . . .
