I have decided that it is time for me to call it a day on BBN. Its been 10 years since I started it and its been a wonderful journey but like all good things this too has to end.
In case someone is keen on managing this in the future I am open to handing it over to the right person. As per Ryze the person has to be a gold member ($10 per month) and I will only hand it over to someone who has been on the network for 5 years or more. In case I do not get the right person I will shut down the network.
Please message or email me if you are interested.

I think you have to let it go. With Facebook becoming all pervasive, thats where this network should be. Yes, ofcourse, content thats accumulated over the last 10 years will be lost..but people and the mixers , I can never forget. BBN is one of the last active networks on Ryze I guess.

Secondly the same people remain on the network for many many years but still retain the loyalty and interact even after long intervals...
Aggressive networks will always be around but then as they say..
"THERE IS ALWAYS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE CLASS AND THE 'MASS' !!
BBN has retained a kind of exclusivity on many dimensions and yes i can say truly that quite a number have benefitted from BBN ...
Yes !! there has been a wane of conversations but then one cannot write of BBn as a dinosaur !!! can we ??

Fully agree with anand. Poor guy, he has been trying his best to put some life.
Nevertheless, bbn requires a shake up/ clean up / revamp. Too many passive members. You can count active members on your fingers. If people dont see benefit they will drop out. I have stopped writing here as they fall in deaf ears. It takes time and effort to write and it is frustrating if there is no response. Anand will agree.

Can a "MIXER" be arranged for??
from my past experience a lot of activity starts on BBN as soon as a mixer is announced.
a Mixer also makes a great casual platform for active members to meet face 2 face.

Great...Now a few suggestions ...and Kumar ,Raana bhai...
let us start with a talk to Tarun and see how we are gonna re create the magic here.
Let us try to revamp BBn into a network which caters to business class ..NO MLM CLASS AT ALL !!! as well as a network which consists of well mannered individuals with business interests as well as literary interests...See.the point is ...if we have Rani who has been following BBN from chennai and is so supportive (Rather than some enterprising genteelman who came up the idea of shutting down BBn due to ahem...the all aggressive FACEBOOK !!! oh well...all is not lost...let us start on a recruitment spree first let each of us who is dedicated to BBN bring in 10 new members in the next 48 hours !!! and Rani..that goes for you too..SINCE WHEN IS IT DICTATED THAT AN ONLINE NETWORK HAS STICK TO GEOGRAPHIC BARRIERS !!!
and Rani trust me the amount of business in chennai is awesome...I remember a time when mr.Chaaruhasan was a member here too...
I will bring in 20 new members by tomorrow who will be ACTIVE ...

Though I live in Germany, I do follow most of the posts here and would surely like to see this forum stay active for all the positive purposes.
Might not be physically present there, however if the active members see a possibility where I could be of assistance send me a quick PM.

My point is this. BBN is BBN irrespective of where it is. Whether it is here or on Facebook, the impact would be the same. Ryze as a portal has seen its days. Its a question of shifting the platform, nothing more.
I have contributed my bit to BBN as well. The Logo that you see up there is my contribution and I used to maintain the page as well. Its just that Ryze as a portal has seen its days and an alternate platform which is free and where everyone seems to be is Facebook. A few networks have shifted to Facebook and are running great. Have been suggesting to Tarun that he move it to Facebook for sometime now. Facebook is an ideal platform looking from the point of view of growth and vibrancy of the network.
Organizing a Mixer isnt a solution, its just a band aid, its a question of existance. If Ryze decides to close down, then BBN too goes under. So the question we should ask is, Should BBN move to Facebook ?

BBN is like an old friend - you dont let go of old friends just because you have new pretty ones around. BBN fits well on Ryze. Maybe there are other opportunities to build similar networks on other social media and anybody is free to do so.
I dont want to make formal statements but would like to thank all who wrote in to express their support to BBN and to offer their time to keep it going.
I want to pass the baton as I believe there would be other folks who can take better care of this old friend than I can. BBN has a charm of its own and that is because of all the folks who have been on it through the years. That said BBN has to adjust to the new realities and adapt to the same but that should not imply a headlong rush to keep up with the Joneses on other social media. I would prefer kapi over capuccino - any day :-)
So thank you all who wrote in - we will have a new BBN leader announcement very soon. It has needless to say been a difficult choice to make with so many good and genuine folks pitching in. But then we all stay friends, dont we.

I have been a part of BBN for almost 7 years now, have met a lot of interesting people over here, lots of interesting posts and discussions have happened over the years...it will be sad to see it disappear...
