Hi Konkanvasi !!

I recently joined this network. Konkan is my passion. My native place is Rajapur, a taluka in Ratnagiri district. Konkan is the gift of paradise to Maharashtra.

Warm Regards,
Hrishi

Hrishi:
Let us agree to disagree!
If you'd said "a gift",
I would have 100% agreed
Konkan in gorgeous -

However when you say "the"
It excludes other gifts
Such as the hills and jungles of Vidarbha...
My adopted homeland

Rahul Bhimjiani

born Mumbawasi
studied as Punekar
Married to Nagpurian
(mhanjey Mumbai chaa jaawai!)

Worked throughout the country
currently a Delhi-dilwaalaa
and next.....?

Completely agreed to your point.. and now I modify it to "a gift". Unfortunately, I have not yet seen the beauties of Vidarbha. You seem to be a real Maharashtrian, a mumbaikar, a punekar and a nagpurkar.
Best Wishes,

Not to speak of ancestors
Coming from different parts

Of Gujarat 3 generations ago
(Saurashtra and Kucchh)

But my father was born in Konkan
In Kasu, (Pen) in Raigad distrit

Marrying a Sindhi
Born in Calcutta,
Brought up in Nagpur

I have lived 8 years each
in Ahmedabad and Guwahati

Have visited all but 3 states:
(Sikkim, A & N, & Lakshadweep

Speaking 8 languages (6 Indian)
With 2 daughters speaking
Only English and Hindi each

So what does that make me?
Perhaps in the words
Of the famous Awaara Song

Mera joota hai....
....Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani

Jai Vidarbha
Jai Maharashtra
Jai Hind
Jai Jagat
