My favorite is Cadburys chcolate (it doesnt matter what flavor, there all good.) I've tried cadburys from england, india, australia, canada, and New Zealand and they are all different. My favorite is the new zealand one maybe because of the quality of the milk products. mmm. but here is something useful.
Take a LARGE block of Cadburys caramello chocolate, leave it out in the sun in its wrapper until it melts. Squash it to make it into one block and all the caramel flows into the chocolate. put it in the freezer for about 10 minutes so the outside becomes hard but the inside is still soft. All the caramell is mixed with the chocolate soft on the inside with a firm shell. Eat all!
Pure Hevan.

PS havent tried godiva yet. where is it from?

Michael:

Although Godiva was originally from Belgium, over 80% of production is now done here in the US.

This sounds like a great trick with a Caramello bar. If you tried this in some places in NZ (I lived in Wellington for 3+ years) you might have to wait weeks for the sun to come out warm and bright enough to melt choccie. LOL!

Hi Michael,
I respect the fact that you love Cadbury's and I loathe them because of the dispicable people they are in Australia as a company...but can I ask you one question please?
When you are choosing your chocolate to taste, do you also go into consideration as to who the company is and their quality of chocolate, quality of service and the way they treat their customers? Just interested to know.
I only eat Mars Australia and Nestle` as they are high quality products, high quality service and they treat their customers fantastic. No mater where you go in the world they all taste the same (Nestle` especially).

My favorite is See's Candy. I've moved from the West Coast to the East, and I guess they don't have any See's out here, but they sure are ggggggggggggggggggood! :o)
The pure chocolate ones I like the best.

Another one that my Girl Friend sent me recently that is sooooo yummy is Toblerone. Both the White Choc. and regular Choc. is great!

I disagree Maree:) Nestle quality is pretty bad in India, especially their KitKat which seems rather plain, bland and "economised" compared to the ones from UK, US and Middle East that I have tasted.

Cadbury's on the other hand, though it doesn't have the same taste in every country, is undoubtedly Quality stuff wherever it is made!

I recently tried a chocolate brownie torte which came out real yummy!

I second your views,

everytime I go abroad, I get me stack of KitKats that last me not more than a month usually. Although any normal human being would require 4 months to consume it all. but as you know, we chocophiles are way above normal.......arent we lol

Frankly, me sis is a baker and confectionerist, and ever since she became one I've stopped consuming branded chocolates.

My office desk holds a jar of home-made chocolates, and trust me, when your chocolates are home made, they are as RICH as you want them to be.

Sometimes when I come home and see a whole big vessel of dark molten chocolate, I learn the reason why I was born.

Hi there..

I just joined this group.. I'm an american stay at home mom living in Turkey.... Being here makes me miss the chocolate I love so much... The chocolate here tastes so different.. I thought it was just me, becuase many say there is no difference... Wrong... There is .. a big difference... I really love the See's chocolates. I discovered them in Calfifornia.. I would love to eat some of those.. The gal at the See's candy store told me that they can eat as much chocolate they want when they are working... I could never work there... I would never get my work done.. Anyhow.. I look forward to getting to know you all.. As for Cadbury's.. I see it here in the stores and I think it's rather new here..
