How are the rest of you using Ryze to get the most out of it? I've sent some e-mails but I don't get replies. I am also having trouble sending emails that don't get sent because the email address does "not look valid"? So how you do send emails? How do you know who you're allowed to send too? i'm speaking from personal experience.
i have browsed the ryze website and found a few things that caught my attention. i searched through the classifieds and found waiters/waitresses, cooks and bartenders for a sports bar i own in bay ridge, brooklyn.
i also found a violin and guitarist that i can use for events that i cater off premise.
i guess the best way is to navigate through the website and see if you can find /peoplethings that either interest you or people/things/services you may need.
good luck
john

Some are specific to my field and some are just things I find interesting. When I see a kindred spirit, I sign their guest book. I have made many long lasting and profitable relationships through Ryze.
As for the Brooklyn Chamber, or any networking events, you can get more out of those big meetings if you participate in a more aggressive way. Join a committee, visit the Chamber offices and find out where they need help. Find a mentor to introduce you around.

And I've had one person who partnered with me on a project. I'm always looking to add to my Power Alliance - businesses who refer me and visa versa after we agree to a process.
Sometimes I've found people on the lists to send my clients to. Or to possibly collaborate with.
So it's mixed bag... just like in person!

I answered your post here about being interviewed, when you first joined this network, even though you are not from Brooklyn. Instead of a personal note, I got back a form letter saying that you had who you wanted, but I could buy your services. So, I went to your site and have been getting your newsletter since. It is very interesting and has a nice easy reading style. Many of the things you offer are things I also sell to my clients. That is why I haven't purchased anything from you. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't if I saw something I needed in the future. I have been in business for over 30 years, and many times I get calls from people 10 years later who want to know if I still offer a service, that now they are ready. That's how I've stayed in business for 30 years.
I come to this network often because it is supposed to be for local business. Perhaps if you could do a little research on what we need here, in Brooklyn, you would get more responses.
