Hello Tom,
Numbers I've seen indicate that less that 5% of people in networking
marketing make a living at it.
Networking marketing works best for people who are great sales people.
So if you are one of those people saying to yourself, "I'm not a sales person,"
then Internet marketing isn't for you.
However, if you are committed to being one of the 5%, here are some Internet
marketing tips for network marketing.
1. Relationship Building Through Online Networking
Great sales people know that they way to make money in sales is to build
strong, value-added relationships with people. This generates sales and
referrals. So learning how to market well through online communities like
Ryze and LinkedIn can be very effective.
2. Lead Capture Pages
When you drive traffic to the network marketing home site via your associate
link, many of these networking marketing home sites are poorly designed to
convert visitors to members. And you have no way of knowing who clicked on
your link. Instead of driving traffic to the home site, set up your own
landing pages for each target audience you are trying to reach. On this
page, offer a free e-book or guide to your topic area or business building tips
that people sign up for. This will give you their contact information for
follow up and add them to your email list to keep them informed.
3. Driving Traffic to Lead Capture Pages
There are a number of ways you can use to drive traffic to your lead pages
including:
- Discussion group signature lines
- Search engine optimization
- Search engine advertising
- Advertising on other sites
- Classified ads
Whatever marketing technique you use, it is critical that you track each
marketing technique and advertising method using ad tracking software such as
Ultimate Affiliate Manager ($97 one time fee) or
1ShoppingCart ($29 per month). This way, you can dump the
non-performing methods each month and focus only on what works.
4. Online Events
Why not offer a free online webinar to introduce people to your network
marketing opportunity? This is very affordable using solutions like
iPowerWorld
which offers unlimited web conferences for up to 500 people at a time for only
$30 per month. This would let you bring your contacts from all over the
world together in one place to learn more about your oppportunity.
Hope this helps! Garland
