Bhatia Anisha
Hello all,
My name is Anisha Bhatia. I am originally from Bombay, India but based in San Diego, California since the last 3 years.

My interest in this group: a)learn, learn, learn! and b) guidance on a career path

Having just 3-4 years of experience in the field of marketing, this is good platform for me to learn from the experienced people in this group (reading the messages has already put me in "learn-mode"). Also, it is amazing how the advice of the group members helps solve/guide issues, which would have otherwise taken long.

As for the guidance needed, here is a summary:
I have recently graduated with an MBA in Marketing from San Diego State University and have been working as an International Marketing intern at Hewlett-Packard, San Diego. I have 1.5 years of markeitng experience in Bombay (after a Management degree) + 2 years of experience at HP (Marcom, business planning, product mgmt).
I have sort of hit a road block on finding a good fit for a job - either people want a more experienced person, or the job does not require an MBA. (I would ideally like to get into business planning or product management)

I would appreciate very much if someone could guide me as to what (position) should I be looking at, with my kind of experience and education - or how should I go about it. I seem to be stuck. I do hope someone can help!

Best Regards,
Anisha

Hi Anisha,

Your resume looks very impressive. I think you should focus on a certain category and invest 2-3 years of hard work there. Your MBA has basically prepared you to take up any managerial role. Why not make the most of it ?

All the best. Am sure you will go a long way.

Cheers !!
