Sean Rice | | When I launched the new Summer 2005 design for http://www.rasadesign.com, I wrote that I would be adding a 'Tool Box' section to the site that had a comprehensive list of tools, resources, articles, etc. for people to use as needed. It's intended to be a free resource for designers, marketers, site owners.
I'm compiling the link list over the next couple of days and it ocurred to me that you people might have some suggestions to add to the list.
If anybody here has a list of suggested sites that designers and marketers might find useful, could you post them to this thread? As soon as I publish the page on my site, I'll announce it here so that you'll have access to them. I'll also be willing to announce updates to this thread for you.
The categories are:
1. Web Hosts we recommend (e-commerce friendly) 2. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tools. 3. Search Engine Marketing (SEM) tools. 4. Web Analytics and Web Metric tools. 5. Press Release Channels 6. Tools for Designers, illustrators, Production Artists 7. Tools for Programmers 8. CSS resources 9. e-Commerce resources 10. Personal and professional networking, blogs, Content Management Systems (CMS)
As a note, this has been cross posted to related networks.

Jonathan Clayman | | Hi Sean,
I would recommend the company that I use for our hosting on padlockprotector.com who are called Thinkhost - www.thinkhost.com.
Excellent company with top notch customer service. You might want to flag if/when you list them that they do not provide phone support for those that insist on that requirement.
Best wishes,

Sean Rice | | Thank you, John. I'll check them out.
Flagging for phone support is a good idea. I sometimes suggest http://hostmatters.com as an alternative to http://powweb.com for clients that are having problems with ZEND and they don't offer phone support, either.
Thanks for the post.

Sean Rice | | This post didn't generate many responses, but I'm posting the page, anyway. It's located at http://rasadesign.com/toolbox.html and I'll be expanding the list over the next weeks.
I'm still open to suggestions and I hope that this start will encourage people to submit useful links from their own bag of tricks.
Thanks.

Wendy McClelland | | Hi Sean,
I'm a little slow in getting this to you - just been too busy!
I have a number of articles on my website to help people generate publicity for their websites/businesses.
They are on my site http://www.thinkwithoutboundaries.com/free_stuff.php and are listed on the left side. Here are a list of the articles you will find:
- Promote Yourself Online - Do You Want to Create Press Releases That the Media Love? - Stop Searching - Joint Ventures are the Solution to Doubling Your Business
There are others as well. Hopefully some may be useful to you.

George Hopkin | | Could I suggest ClickPress - http://www.clickpress.com - for your list of press release channels?
ClickPress is a free news release distribution solution which targets the major news search engines and RSS/XML headline aggregators. There is also a particularly useful $100 upgrade which includes enhanced distribution and a WireClip report detailing some of the places where your release has been used.
Total disclosure: it's my site!

Sean Rice | | Wendy: Thank you very much. The article posting links, I think, I will add as a new category on the site separate from Press Release channels.
Also, I'm going to start giving thanks to the people who are contributing with a link back to their web sites, so expect these links and your own on my page, later today.

Sean Rice | | Mr. Fernandes: I just checked out your site and will be listing some of the tools I find there. Thank you.
BTW, I like your site design. Was that a Mambo template or did you design it?

Sean Rice | | Garland: Perfect! Exactly what I'm looking for!
Also, if you're writing e-books, may I suggest submitting articles to the eBusiness section of the site with a link back to your own site? Now that I've got the kinks worked out of my site, I'll be promoting it very aggressively and the topics you write on will be relevant.
