Greetings to all.

I'm the founder of Ivy SeaŽ, Inc., and the author of Big Vision, Small Business. Ivy Sea provides resources, consultations, and inspiration for the visionary entrepreneurs and inspired leaders who are rising up to redefine, realign, and create the new era for work and business.

Through our work individually and together, I and my collaborators aim to catalyze more mindful, conscious ways of living and working that are rooted in Wisdom, centered in Heart, and expressive of our highest and most authentic potential.

I've enjoyed taking a look through some of the other threads; and look forward to good dialogue, sharing from my own experience, and learning from others.

You've created a nice network here, Cijaye!

Sincerely,
Jamie Walters

Good afternoon Jamie,

What a great statement you made. I am glad that you have your elevator pitch down so well. Many entrepreneurs strive to be centered and balanced and have NO CLUE how to get there.

I think part of the struggle comes from the ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT that drives their every move; Entrepreneurs are free spirited (rebellious against constraint and regularity) risk takers.

Let me ask though (assuming entrepreneurs ar your target market): How do you achieve success with someone who is destined to see opportunity where others do not, to chase opportunity where others might fear and to create opportunity for themselves and others (whether it exists or not) because they are programmed to believe that they MUST do so (whether they fail or not)?

Looking forward to your response...

Thank you for the welcome, and the great follow-up question, Cijaye. My 'blurb' or 'elevator pitch' is newly updated to reflect more recent evolution of my biz, so I appreciate the positive feedback.

Regarding your question -- how do I achieve success with those 'entrepreneurial, visionary spirits' -- yes, they are my primary client/reader audience, though they may be solo/SOHO entrepreneurs, more traditional entrepreneurs, nonprofit founder-leaders, or corporate mavericks. That 'entrepreneurial spirit' and free-spirited rebelliousness is a quality I appreciate, and share! :)

Success comes, in part, by focusing in on their own definitions of success and crystal clear (though always evolving) vision, and then connecting it to action in specific shorter-term timeframes. And since "big visions" tend to be, well, BIG, identifying those small, measurable accomplishments along the way is so important.

Also, this sort of non-traditional vision, passion, and trail-blazing can become seemingly overwhelming, dejecting, or fatiguing, so inspiration, support, dialogue, vision check-ins, and balancing practices for mind-body-spirit are crucial. The sorts of things that lend themselves to being comfortable in uncertainty, expecting the unexpected, always evolving and adapting (while keeping centered in vision), etc.

These are the things I tend to focus on, not just in my own "trail-blazing", but for my clients and readers as well. Sometimes going from A to Z isn't pretty, but we get there! :)

Thanks again for inquiring further - it's a really good and relevant question.

Sincerely,
Jamie
