Lisa's Back! A re-opt-in question.....Views: 959

I hope that everyone has had a wonderful summer. I certainly have. I'm returning to the office after a 4 month vacation, and despite a few health issues, I'm ready to get back to work!

Let's start with a few questions about list cleaning and re-opt-in requests:

1) How old is your list?
2) Have you ever "cleaned it/run a re-opt-in" campaign?
3) Why did you choose to do so?
4) Do you have a more realistic view of your list since doing so?
5) If you've chosen not to clean your list, why?
6) What do you see as the advantages of cleaning your list?
7) Anything else about list-cleaning you want to share?

I'm looking forward to your answers and discussion of the topic.

Best to all,
lisa

My list is fairly new. I've just recently started a position as a mortgage consultant, so I've revamped the topic of my list to be centered around real estate. Surprisingly everyone that was on the old list stayed even though the topic was different. I don't really do much purging of my lists. I figure that the people that want to leave will leave on their own.

My list dates back over a year (maybe 2?) I haven't asked my members to re-opt for a few reasons:

1- I can't seem to get my butt in gear long enough to publish on a regular basis. And, if all I have is 'Fluff', I don't publish :)
2- I don't send any "Ads" to the list unless its a small link with in my actctual newsletter.
3- Every time a company asks me to re-opt in, I forget! There's been a few ezines that I have had to hunt down and resubscribe to months later-I hated it :)
