I stumbled on to it by accident, but I'm thrilled I found it! (It's like driving through a neighborhood or finding a shopping mall you didn't know existed.) :-)
I am starting the process of creating an Ezine/Newsletter and I have one burning question.
If ever comes a time I want to utilize an exerpt from a magazine or other news source, do I need to get their permission prior to doing so?
Is it safe to say, "According to USA today..."? Or I just read in "Cosmo"...?
I certainly don't want to cross any legal limits.
Thank you!

Welcome to the cafe.
My understanding, and I'm no copywrite expert, is that if you are just reproducing an excerpt, and it's brief, it's ok to do so. It's always good to cite your source, e.g. "according to USA Today" then give a link like http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2005-09-29-california-wildfires_x.htm
That's one of the beauty's of electronic media, you can instantly cite sources through hyperlinking.
However, for good measure, you may want to check in with the original publisher.

Great Lisa, thank you so much. I'm really looking forward to this! :-)
I'll keep you posted.
