Jayant Patil | | Hi,
I am from India and I want to put dedicated efforts for ebusiness. I have signed for couple of excellent affiliate programs. But I just do not understand how to promote or develop an Opt-In list for targeted customers.
I am looking for advise from Guru/s or personal experiences which will help me succeed.
Thanks for your time.

Who are you trying to target for the products or services you provide? That is something you need to determine. If you think you can just place an ad or create a website and folks with show up at your door, you are going to be sorely disappointed. What you need to do is first decide who it is that needs what you have to offer. Make a list. Then, proceed with a plan to entice those folks with what you have to offer, but get them to carry your message for you. Call it free advertising - the power of the personal referral. I have a a free PDF file that you might find very helpful. Just contact me by clicking on my link - CDMM and I will gladly send it to you.

Garland Coulson | | Hello Jayant,
One of the best way to build your own opt-in list is to offer something valuable for free to people when they opt-in.
The free offer can be an e-book, guide, software, etc and it must be of compelling interest to your target audience.
I have two free e-books I make available to people who visit my site, "Promote Your Web Site for Free" and "Questions to Ask Your Web Designer." These e-books have my opt-in list growing at a phenomenal rate.
Who is your target audience? Which programs are they?

Jayant Patil | | Hello Garland,
Thanks. I have two products. One is Food Recipe CD and the other is Aweber autoresponder. We are offering free ebook of recipe having close to 1500 recipe from the web site http://www.cwind.net/chefcat.htm . The problem is how to make people visit this web page? I have signed up for the Free traffic bar also.Hopefully it should give me some results.
What else can I do apart from posting message in Food related forums?
Thanks,
Jayant

Connie N | | Jayant,
The way I developed an opt in list quickly for my newsletter was by offering a free ad to anyone who joined.
They would have to remain a subscribed member in order for their ad to run. I usually ran the ad 3 to 4 weeks after they joined and they were made aware of this. I had a pretty high retention rate.
The ads were usually three to four lines with their url and I ran a special edition for this.
It worked well for me.
