I Googled the term. and got 45 hits - some dubious.

Sorry to say that after reading the articles I was still ignorant. However, my guess is the corridor could be a freeway, a toll road, a small shopping precinct or trendy street that has brand awareness. Eg Citylink - a toll road in Melbourne Australia; Chapel Street - a trendy shopping street - also in Melbourne. Almost everyone in Melbourne knows what and where they are.

What do you think?

Regards,
Murray

My best guess would be similar to Murray's, but I'm thinking in terms of businesses locating in a "Technology Corridor," where participation in a cooperative "corridor branding" effort would allow them to reach a highly targeted audience of decision-makers in key technology sectors.

Included in a cooperative marketing effort might be such things as:

* Corridor events
* Corridor sponsorships
* Corridor newsletters
* Corridor website
* Corridor trade show

I've seen Corridor Branding used in to market Urban areas. Florida is now calling itself "The Internet Coast", just as San Jose is "Silicon Valley."

Another good example of corridor branding is the city of Jaipur in India.

The city was built of pink stucco back in 1728 and is still dressed in the same hue to maintain its tourist brand as the Pink City.
